Still can't figure out why panning attachments for Kitchen-aid mixers are so expensive. Here's an example of the excessive cost that happens when you put a stainless steel element into the equation or you put a brand name on it that associates it with creating specialty foods. I've been baffled at the low cost of motors used in tempering machines before, but this piece of equipment puts it all into perspective.  This is like one of those things that people do in the early stages of a relationship; 1st week anniversary, then 2 weeks, then 6 weeks (or a month), then two-months, then a year, etc...etc...So, yes, we're gonna act like someone in the beginning stages of a good relationship.
